Deacon Ministries

Parkwood is served by a team of Deacons who are responsible as team leaders in various areas of ministry. The Deacons involve others in carrying out those servant responsibilities so that the Pastors/Elders can devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word. Areas of ministry include: Benevolence, First Impressions, hospital visitation, Baptism, Communion, van ministry, helping hands, home-bound visitations, and more.

ORDINANCES

This ministry facilitates the practice of the ordinances of communion and baptism. It involves the preparation of the Lord's Supper elements for serving. Also, the deacons assist pastors and new saints in baptism by making available shirts, dry towels, and clean laundry.

 HOSPITAL VISITS

These deacons ensure that our members in the hospital are visited and cared for. They visit regularly, pray with and for them, and keep the leadership of Parkwood up-to-date on how they're doing.

Benevolence

Benevolence funds are given for members or those active in the life of Parkwood who find themselves in times of need. Benevolence funds are not budgeted at Parkwood because we believe the faith family should be able to meet the needs of their brothers and sisters in need.

To give to the Benevolence Fund, click here and choose "Benevolence" or write "Benevolence" in the memo line of your check or online donation.
