Ministry Development is Parkwood's Plan for investing in and directly discipling those exploring or devloping their call to ministry. Whether someone is just beginning to explore their call or are looking to gain practical ministry experience, Ministry Development exists to serve them in the following ways:
This role is to give practical, real world, ministry experience to those who are called to full-time service. You will work under a ministry area Pastor for 2-4 years and be held accountable to ministry goals and expectations. Seminary students and college seniors will be considered for these positions as they are available.
This role exists to train individuals in specific areas of ministry and establish a clear call while also discipling him or her to be faithful to Scripture, responsible in his or her personal life and at work, trustworthy and honorable, and handle various ministry experiences in a Christ-like manner. Internships are typically offered to seminary or college students in multiple ministry areas for one year.
This role exists to help individuals, typically college students, evaluate whether they are called to vocational ministry and/or to help deepen their understanding of congregational ministry.
