VBS/VBX at Parkwood
Join us June 8-11, 2026
This week is designed to help kids grow in their understanding of who God is and what He has done. We can’t wait to learn, sing, play, and point everything back to the truth of Scripture together.
For children who have completed K-6th Grades.
Registration opens Thursday, April 9th.
At VBS/VBX, kids will discover how God’s truth shines light into every part of our lives as we explore His Word through engaging Bible teaching, fun activities, music, and hands-on experiences.

We are so grateful for how the Lord will use you to serve the children and families of Parkwood.
Please note ALL volunteers MUST complete a background check as well as the online Volunteer Registration Form.
Student volunteers must be regular attendees of Parkwood or have a parent actively serving at VBS/VBX. Prior approval is required.

PICKUP PROCESS
Parkwood Kids has made the check-in and check-out process easy, safe, and secure. Our procedures ensure that you are quickly contacted with any issues and only parents and authorized individuals can pick up a child.
VBS (Kindergarten – 4th Grade)
HOW DO I PICKUP MY CHILD?
Pick-up will take place in the Worship Center.
1. Enter through the far-right Worship Center doors (main level).
- If your child is seated in the balcony, please use the far-right staircase from the lobby.
- All other Worship Center doors will be exits only.
2. Keep the entrance aisle moving!
- If your child is seated in a row next to the entrance aisle, please continue to the opposite side of the row to pick them up.
3. Show your security tag to your child’s group leader.
- The numbers must match your child’s sticker to release them.
4. Exit through the designated doors after pick-up.
- If exiting from the balcony, use the left staircase (opposite of the entrance stairs).
- Security volunteers will re-check tags at exits for safety.
THURSDAY PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS
If you have both VBS and VBX kids, join your K-4th-grade child in the Sanctuary at noon for a closing worship time, then head to pick up your VBX child afterward.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Children will not be released without the correct security tag.
If you lose your tag, visit the Help Desk in the lobby for assistance.
VBX (5th-6th Grades)
HOW DO I PICKUP MY CHILD?
- Enter through the door closest to Dixon Road, under the covered overhang at the “Kids” entrance.
- Go through the first door on the right to enter the Fellowship Hall.
- Show your name tag to enter and let the VBX guide know who you’re picking up.
- Once you have your child, have your pick-up tag checked and matched at the door as you exit.
- Exit through the door that leads to the lobby (same exit as Monday).
- Use the lobby doors to return to the parking lot.
THURSDAY PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS
If you only have a VBX child, pick them up using the regular VBX process.
If you have both VBS and VBX kids, join your K-4th-grade child in the Sanctuary at noon for a closing worship time, then head to pick up your VBX child afterward.
