Parkwood Worship exists to lead the people of God gathered at Parkwood to worship the one true God in spirit and truth, exalt his only son King Jesus, and proclaim His gospel in song and attitude. We seek to do that with excellence, excitement, and humility, desiring all praise and glory to be ascribed to the almighty and transcendent God.
Worship Leaders
Who can serve as a worship leader?
- Clear Follower of Christ
- Actively pursuing Membership -or- current members
- Active members of a growth group
What is expected before one can serve as a worship leader?
- Audition to determine level of proficiency
- Read through Worship Matters by Bob Kauflin with the Worship Pastor or member of the Worship staff
- Complete any remedial training required by the Worship team (if necessary)
- Logistics Training meeting before the first Sunday serving
What is expected of those who serve as a worship leader?
- When scheduled, prepare holistically to lead worship through prayer and personal rehearsal
- Be punctual for Sunday morning rehearsals
- Be as active of a participant in the choir on Sundays when you are not leading
Band Members
Who can serve as a member of the band?
- Clear Follower of Christ
- Actively pursuing Membership -or- current members
- Active members of a growth group
What is expected before one can serve as a member of the band?
- Audition to determine level of proficiency
- Complete any remedial training required by the Worship team (if necessary)
- Logistics Training meeting with Jay Smith before the first Sunday serving
What is expected of those who serve as a member of the band?
- When scheduled, prepare holistically to lead worship through prayer and personal rehearsal
- Be punctual for Sunday morning rehearsals
Choir Members
Who can serve in the Parkwood Choir?
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ
- A member of Parkwood Baptist Church (PBC) or a guest
- Desire to lead worship corporately during ALL music planned for Worship Service
What is expected of those who serve in the Parkwood Choir?
- Attend Choir Rehearsals as regularly as possible on Wednesday Nights
- Attend ALL Special Rehearsals for Special Events
- Sing as regularly as possible in Worship Services in which the choir is utilized
Production Team
Who can serve as a member of the Production Team?
- Clear Follower of Christ
- Actively pursuing Membership -or- current members
- Active members of a growth group
What is expected before one can serve as a member of the Production Team?
- Diagnostic Meeting with the Production Director to determine area of interest and current proficiencies
- Sunday Morning Shadowing
- Reverse Shadowing
- Perform any remedial training depending on the track selected (Audio Technician, Lighting Designer, Live Video Production, or ProPresenter)
- Released to be scheduled for future services
What is expected of those who serve on Production Team?
- When scheduled, prepare appropriately for the scheduled role. Depth of preparation will depend on the scheduled position
- Be punctual for Sunday morning Call Times
