LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Leadership Development is intentionally seeking to equip the next generation to make disciples by training them, one step at a time, through strategic pathways and opportunities. For more information, see some of these opportunities below.

GREAT COMMISSION TEAM

The Great Commission Team (GCT) engages college-aged students in the Great Commission through exposure to lostness with opportunities to evangelize while being equipped for the work of ministry along the way, ultimately producing Great Commission Christians.

INTERNS

Mentored Interns are college-aged students who have progressed through Great Commission Team or come into Parkwood with a holistic, experiential understanding of the Great Commission. Interns are poured into by a specific ministry leader and given official job descriptions that serve as a framework to begin gaining practical and specialized ministry experience.

APPRENTICESHIPS

These roles require progressing through the previous levels or coming to Parkwood with appropriate experience. An apprentice develops under a pastor/ministry leader while taking on pieces of a ministry role to develop and grow. An apprenticeship carries out the work of ministry in a particular area with independence under the leadership of a particular pastor/ministry leader.
