HOW TO

BECOME A MEMBER

At Parkwood, we believe that being part of a church community is an essential part of spiritual growth.

If you’re interested in becoming a member of our church, we encourage you to attend our New Members classes, which are offered on the first four Sundays of each month. These classes are designed to help newcomers learn more about our core beliefs and values and get acclimated to our community.

As you arrive, volunteers greet you and are available
to answer any questions you may have.

Infants through 5th grade participate in fun, interactive Bible study and worship, applying Gospel Project on Sundays and Awana on Wednesdays. Visit the Kids check-in desk or click here to learn more.

ENGAGING WORSHIP

We have a live band at each of our services. You can sit, stand, or raise your hands. The heart is more important than posture.

CASUAL DRESS

How you dress is not important here at Parkwood. You are welcome to come however you are most comfortable, formal dress or casual dress.

Student ministry offers opportunities for worship, fellowship, and discipleship through growth groups on Sundays and corporate worship on Wednesdays. Click here to learn more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

QUESTIONS

How long is the worship service?

We have three services at 8am, 9:30am and 11am lasting about an hour and ten minutes.

What is the music like?

At Parkwood the worship music spans across all ages and backgrounds. With this in mind our worship ministry delights in a variety of music genres. On Sunday’s you can expect the volume to be about as loud as a high school gym on game day, but not as loud as a rock concert.  Click over to our sermons page to view some of our latest services.

Where should I go on my first visit?

When you pull into Parkwood’s parking lot, use the entrances on Garrison Blvd or Dixon Rd. On both sides of the building there is the Parkwood sign, enter through those doors.

When you walk up to the building, please let one of our Welcoming Team Members at the door know that it is your first time joining us and they will direct you to the Next Steps area for more information.

We can’t wait to meet you in person.

What about kids, teenagers or young adults?

We are a multi-generational church, and love it that way!

1. Fill out the Plan A Visit form and select that a child, teen or young adult will be attending with you so that our team can contact you and help make your visit meaningful for all those attending.
