Baptism
Have you been contemplating the idea of getting baptized?
Water baptism signifies an act of faith and obedience to the commands of our Lord Jesus.
As stated in Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV), Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
It’s important to note that baptism doesn’t serve as a means of salvation, but rather as a declaration to the world that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It acts as a public confession of your faith in Jesus and your commitment to live for Him. Baptism is considered the next step after experiencing salvation through repentance and faith, serving as a foundational aspect of your life as a Christ follower.
“But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.”
In Acts 8:12 (ESV)
